Jesus said, "This then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our traspasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." --Matthew 6:9-13 The above scripture tells us how to pray. Personally, I believe that prayer is essential to having a close relationship with God. It is our link to God. The more I pray and am in contact with God, the greater my focus is on God. It brings me closer to Him and brings Him into my life. In addition to the Lord's Prayer, I try to direct my thoughts to God frequently all throughout each and every day. In my thoughts, I'm thanking Him for his blessings, expressing my love for Him, asking for His forgiveness, telling Him about my concerns, and asking for His help. Return to Home Page
