Some people describe God as pure light and/or pure love. A god that is good all the time. A god that is so good and loving that there is no way he could allow the existence of hell, eternal damnation, and suffering.

You are free to believe whatever you want. But I want to share the truth about God. I am in the process of reading the book of Ezekiel again. This book shows the true nature of God and what He is capable of when He is pushed too far. Ezekiel leaves no doubt in my mind that God is fully capable of allowing evil, hell, and eternal damnation.

"And they shall know that I am the LORD and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them." - Ezek 6:10 KJV

I am not going to go into details here about the contents of the book of Ezekiel. You should read it for yourself. It is an amazing book showing the true nature of God. And in my opinion, Ezekiel's visions of God dwarf anything that our greatest sci-fi writers can dream up. I have to admit that it is a bit of a struggle for me to read the lengthy details of the suffering caused by the wrath of God. Maybe even fair to say depressing at times. But that is just my personal opinion. Others might say that there is nothing depressing at all about God's judgment, wrath, and punishment. And they would be correct because there is nothing more glorious than God's divine justice and forgiveness. You should just read the book of Ezekiel and determine for yourself what you personally think about it.

I enjoy focusing on positive, feel good things rather than dwelling on suffering and things that don't feel so good. However, I don't want to get to the point where I begin to question the very existence of hell. I don't want to be so focused on the positive, feel good things that I begin to craft my own version of God into an unrealistic, passive, and harmless god.

Blessings,
David
